Invisible braces for adults
It’s never too late for beautiful teeth. With our invisible braces, you can see the goal before your eyes.

More and more adults value straight, perfect teeth. Modern, innovative methods in orthodontics now make almost invisible teeth straightening possible even in adulthood, using revolutionary braces technology.
Most adults hope above all that orthodontic treatment will give them beautiful-looking teeth. In recent years, orthodontists have also observed the positive trend that many people are more aware of the importance of healthy, well-cared-for teeth.
Orthodontic treatment with invisible aligners meets high standards of both facial aesthetics and dental health: not just beautiful, but healthy too – that’s the motto. Your dental health and the preservation of your teeth also benefit from discreet, almost invisible treatment. Enjoy your usual life with invisible aligners – without anyone noticing!
What are invisible braces?
The aligner method has already successfully established itself as a revolutionary treatment from the USA that finally allows patients to have misaligned teeth corrected almost invisibly and comfortably. Transparent, wafer-thin plastic aligners gradually move your teeth into the right position, giving you a perfect smile. Once in place, they are barely visible to others and can be taken out for eating and oral care. Normal dental and oral hygiene therefore remains possible without restriction.
When is the ideal time for treatment?
Many adults suffer from misaligned teeth and jaws. More and more people are expressing the wish to have misalignments corrected in adulthood. Orthodontic treatment with invisible aligners can be started at any time – even if you left your teenage years behind decades ago.
How do invisible braces work?
With this innovative, state-of-the-art braces technology, you can see in advance what your teeth will look like once treatment is complete. At your initial consultation, our experienced orthodontists will give you detailed advice. At the start of treatment, we take a 3D scan of your teeth, which forms the basis for making your custom-made, transparent aligners. Based on the treatment plan we propose, the software calculates how the teeth will move from their starting position to the desired final position. The custom-made plastic aligners follow the individual stages of the treatment plan and are changed every two weeks.
Invisible braces are also an aesthetic and comfortable alternative for busy working patients in particular, as appointments at the practice are usually short and take place at longer intervals.
How often should the aligners be worn?
The more often you wear the aligners, the better and faster you’ll see results. As the aligners are almost transparent, they can be worn practically all the time. You only need to take them out for eating and brushing your teeth.
How long does braces treatment take?
The number of aligners, and therefore the length of treatment, varies depending on the patient and their individual plan. Treatment takes between 9 and 24 months.

Overview of possible malocclusions
The malocclusions listed below can occur individually or in combination. Treatment with invisible aligners has proven clinically effective for malocclusions and can be used for simple to complex corrections.
Spacing (gaps)
Missing teeth and gaps between the teeth often significantly affect not only appearance, but also the function of the teeth and the bite.
Possible consequences:
- gum pockets
- receding gums
- teeth drifting
- functional problems (difficulty biting off food)
Crossbite
With a crossbite, one or more upper back teeth bite on the inside of the lower back teeth. A crossbite can occur on one side or on both sides.
Possible consequences:
- gum disease
- bone loss
- tooth wear
- asymmetrical face
- jaw joint discomfort
Open bite
With an open bite, the front teeth of the upper and lower jaw do not touch each other, even when the teeth are closed together. An open bite can also occur at the sides. In extreme cases, only the rearmost molars touch when biting.
Possible consequences:
- missing and/or painful biting and chewing function
- jaw joint problems
- wear of the teeth
- craniomandibular dysfunction (CMD)
- negative effects on speech
- visible change in the shape of the face due to “lengthening” of the lower jaw
Underbite (forward position of the lower jaw)
An underbite can impair the normal function of the incisors or molars.
Possible consequences:
- tooth wear
- painful jaw and joint problems
- impaired facial aesthetics
The doctor was very nice and always made such an effort at every appointment. Thanks to him, I don’t even know what it’s like to be afraid of the dentist. I was so lucky to have him and can recommend him wholeheartedly. To be honest, I’m going to miss him a bit :)

Lucas’s braces
Lucas got his first wisdom teeth at the end of puberty. This caused all his teeth to shift. Thanks to invisible treatment with aligners at the Eltz Institut, he now has beautiful teeth again and can laugh heartily.
